'Daredevil: Born Again' will be authored by actual attorneys. Daredevil: Born Again, Marvel Studios' forthcoming Disney+ original series, will centre on Carlie Cox's Matt Murdock rather than the vigilante.
According to CBR, the studio has hired real-life attorneys to join the show's writers' room.
According to The Cosmic Circus, the list of authors for Born Again now includes real-life attorneys David Feige (no connection to Kevin Feige), Thomas Wong, and Zachary Reiter.
Before writing for series like Raising the Bar and For Life, Feige worked as a public defender in New York City. In addition, he established The Bronx Freedom Fund, a non-profit bail organisation. In addition, he authored the book Indefensible: One Lawyer's Journey Into the Inferno of American Justice.
Before working on Bull, Minority Report, and Good Trouble, Wong worked as an attorney in New York. Reiter was a prosecutor who worked in Queens as an assistant district attorney. Reiter has also written for Law & Order: SVU and CSI: New York.
According to the Cosmic Circus, Jill Blankenship and Grainne Godfree are among the writers on Born Again. Whereas Feige, Wong, and Reiter have legal backgrounds, Blankenship and Godfree are superhero experts.
Blankenship co-created and served as showrunner for The CW's live-action DC series Naomi, as well as writing for The CW's mothership Arrowverse series, Arrow.
Godfree has also written for the CW's Arrow, The Flash, and DC's Legends of Tomorrow, for which he also serves as co-showrunner.
Devon Kliger and Aisha Porter-Christie are two other authors who have supposedly joined the Born Again team. Chris Ord and Matt Corman are the showrunners for the Marvel series.
The series has been given an 18-episode order for its first season, which is much more than the normal order for shows on Disney+.
