Eddie Murphy discusses his ambition to play Shrek's friend 'Donkey.' Eddie Murphy has officially revealed his wish to reprise his role as Donkey from Shrek in the course of "two seconds."

Murphy himself admitted this during an interview with Etalk.

"I'd totally be open if they ever came with another Shrek, I'd do it in two seconds," he said. "I adore Donkey."

This news comes barely a month after the debut of the new Puss in Boots: The Last Wish film, which is voiced by Antonio Banderas.

For those who are unaware, it is presently nominated for Best Animated Feature Film.

During his interview with the publication, Murphy remarked, "You know, they did Puss in Boots movies. 'They should have made a Donkey movie,' I thought.

"Donkey is more amusing than Puss in Boots." I mean, I like Puss in Boots, but he's not as amusing as the Donkey."
