These sneakers were originally $500 and were expected to sell for up to $3,000. However, after only eight bids, the price was raised to $7,000.
The MusiCares Charity Relief Auction for 2023 is scheduled to take place immediately following the Grammy Awards event.
MusiCares is an organisation committed to assisting musicians in times of financial and physical hardship.
The auction goods are donated by the music industry's top personalities in order to generate revenue for the charity.
Benefactors range from Joni Mitchell and Rolling Stone to BTS and Olivia Rodrigo, with little regard for genre or generation.
However, the two most often referenced names in news are Taylor Swift and Eminem.
Swift also entered the auction with her autographed bespoke evermore 2020 Epiphone DR-100EB acoustic guitar.
It is estimated to fetch $10,000, the highest estimate linked to any musical instrument auctioned this year.
