Kate Hudson remembers finding inspiration from Sir Paul McCartney in order to "take a risk" and pursue music.
The 43-year-old actress participated in Netflix's smash Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery in December, with Daniel Craig, Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, and Janelle Monáe.
She is now eager to further her career as a musician, having grown up as a "musical theatre girl" who aspired to dance and sing.
The artist added that after becoming'so emotional' after Sir Paul's historic headline performance at Glastonbury Festival in June last year, she decided to 'take chances' in 2023.
"Maybe it's because he's the same age as my mum and it just defines this time, the sort of innocence of the Beatles and how legendary they were," the actress remarked of the 'strange moment' during the singer's concert.
"They basically transformed the face of rock'n'roll and they believed in something. I became upset when I realised how different things were today. Like art, and what exactly is art? What does it now mean? "And it dawned on me that we just had to keep generating beautiful stuff," she told The Mirror.
"We have to trust in what we're putting out there, take chances, and not always make people happy," she continued.
The actress also said that she had been creating music since she was 19 but had "never shared it" until the Covid epidemic prompted her to reconsider.
'So I just assumed that would be one of my major regrets. I, for one, have no expectations. 'I simply want to release a record,' she acknowledged.
