If Virginia Giuffre decides to publish her purported memoir when her gag order is removed, Prince Andrew is expected to sue her for $100 million (£81 million).
According to The Sun, the disgraced Duke of York is "prepared to go on the offensive" if Virginia, who accused him of [expletive] abuse, repeats her claims in her rumoured book.
"The minute she writes anything that replicates the initial charges against him, she will be slammed with a $100 million (£81 million) defamation lawsuit," a source said.
"Andrew is prepared to launch an attack. "Her accusations will next be investigated in a court of law," the source added.
This follows reports that Prince Andrew is considering overturning his rumoured $12 million deal with Virginia after her lawsuit against a US lawyer failed.
The Sun previously reported that Prince Andrew had contacted US lawyers Andrey Brettley and Blair Berk about legal assistance in the suspected proceedings.
