Prince Harry and the Royals to 'temporarily mend' animosity before King Charles' coronation? A royal specialist believes Prince Harry and the Royal Family are striving to achieve 'temporary' peace ahead of King Charles' historic coronation in May.
According to royal analyst Jonathan Sacerdoti, while Prince Harry's bombshell memoir Spare has ended any hope of a lasting reunion, the royal family and the Sussexes might strike a temporary ceasefire for Charles' coronation.
"I assume that some efforts are being made to try and achieve some type of reconciliation," Sacerdoti remarked. I believe it is because they do not want family problems to overshadow what is going on on that very significant day."
"Whether or not something is practicable is one thing; whether or not it is sustainable is another. Even if they do achieve some type of peace, it may only be short," he added.
"I believe it's going to be extraordinarily difficult for them as a family - and, more widely, for the nation and the Institution - to forgive what's occurred," Sacerdoti continued.
"Some of the persons inside Spare - the King, the Queen, and the Prince of Wales - all come out of that book so negatively," the expert said, explaining why members of the royal family may find it difficult to move on from Prince Harry's book.
"They've been so extensively chastised by Harry, so viciously chastised in portions, that I think they're hurting."
"I think Harry and Meghan have stated they're expecting an apology," Sacerdoti added, "but I don't think there are many people who feel that it's due that way."
