Wahab Riaz's nomination as Sports Minister has sparked outrage on social media. Social media users have gone crazy at the appointment of Pakistan legendary fast bowler Wahab Riaz as interim sports minister.
As soon as the news of the appointment became known, cricket fans went to Twitter to congratulate the batsman — and, of course, to post memes and jokes about the appointment.
One person contributed a witty joke about Riaz's lack of workplace experience.

Surprisingly, the internet quickly linked Riaz's position to Anil Kapoor's scenario in Bollywood's mega successful film 'Naik,' in which the actor is appointed chief minister for a day.

Many others were also amused by the prospect of Riaz being the first sports minister to actively participate on the field.

Riaz, who is presently playing for Khulna Tigers in the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2023, has stated to Geosuper.tv that he will take over as the largest province's sports minister in due course.
In 156 international games in all forms, the left-arm bowler has collected 237 wickets for Pakistan.
It is worth noting that the 37-year-old bowler was a member of the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy-winning national side.
Following the appointment of Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi to the caretaker administration in Punjab, the names of the 11-member cabinet were confirmed.
With the dissolution of the legislature, Pervez Elahi's almost six-month turbulent tenure as Prime Minister came to an end, as did his cabinet.
