With Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Amazon revives the 'Tomb Raider' series. Amazon has hired Fleabag actor Phoebe Waller-Bridge to write the script for the next Tomb Raider series.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Waller-Bridge is working on the new Lara Croft project as both a writer and an executive producer.
However, reports claim that Waller-Bridge has declined to appear in the series.
The video game adaption follows the swashbuckling archaeologist Croft as she searches for missing relics.
Previously, the property had two film adaptations, the first starring Angelina Jolie in 2001 and the second starring Alicia Vikander in 2018.
Tomb Raider was panned by reviewers and generated a pitiful $275 million at the global movie office.
