Brian Robbins, president and CEO of Paramount Pictures & Nickelodeon Studios, has confirmed Andrew Gumpert's resignation as COO.
Robbins confirmed the news in a message to colleagues on Thursday, stating that Gumpert had "chosen to depart" the studios.
"Since joining Paramount as COO in 2017 and expanding his responsibilities to include Nickelodeon last year, Andrew has successfully strengthened our relationships across all aspects of our business—supervising negotiations with our strategic, creative, and financial partners and licensees, and collaborating with our teams to expand and evolve our revenue sources," Robbins wrote in a memo.
"The chance to lead and work alongside all of my great Paramount colleagues has been an unbelievable honour," Gumpert continued. We have accomplished incredible things together, and I shall be eternally thankful for your collaboration."
"I've been thinking about the next stage of my career, and I'm excited to figure out what's next," he said. I am convinced that this organisation will continue to be at the forefront of the industry."
According to Variety, Courtney Armstrong, president of business affairs and administration, will take over in strategic planning and labour relations, while Randall Baumberger, president of the studio group, will now handle studio operations. Both will be responsible to Robbins.
