Austin Butler has finally chosen to drop his Elvis impersonation for the biopic of the late singer.
"I'm getting rid of the accent, but all that singing has definitely ruined my vocal chords," she says, adding, "One song required 40 tries."
Butler gained great acclaim for his depiction of Elvis Presley in the Baz Luhrmann-directed biopic.
Previously, the Oscar contender stated that he rehearsed tackling the voice of a famous artist.
"I'd hear him utter a specific word, and I'd clip just that portion off, so I understood how he articulated that word," he explained his method. "I kept a record of how he uttered every word and diphthong, as well as how he employed musicality in his voice."
The film stars Austin Butler. Elvis won Best Actor at the 2023 Golden Globes and was nominated for Best Picture by The Academy.
