Wonder Woman, a heroine created by DC Comics, will soon have a television series with a fresh cast.
The original Wonder Woman, played by actress Gal Gadot, may be replaced in the upcoming TV series. Her followers are guessing because of rumours about the new cast spreading on the internet.
According to rumours, the new management of DC Studios, James Gunn and Peter Safran, intend to relaunch the whole DC line up. The sudden replacement of Henry Cavill as Superman has called Gal's future with DC Studios into question.
However, unlike the earlier announcement for the upcoming Superman film, DC has yet to make an official statement about the new Wonder Woman star cast.
Prior to this, DC Studios chose to make another sequel to Gadot's film. The project was allegedly intended for the Fast and Furious actor's comeback, but it was cancelled after director Patty Jenkins declined the project owing to artistic issues.
As a result, DC decided to create a TV series based on Diana Prince's origin tale, located in her hometown. PinkVilla reports on the Island of Themyscira, commonly known as Paradise Island.
"It's almost like Game of Thrones with Westeros, but with all the residents of Paradise Island," James Gun said in a video release. The drama will centre on the origins and political intrigue of an all-female island."
