According to Us Weekly, Taylor Lautner relived the moment in 2009 when he presented the trophy to then-girlfriend Taylor Swift at the VMAs and Kanye West wrecked the moment.
Lautner, 30, not only revisited the situation, but he also expressed sorrow over his first reaction.
During the February 1 episode of his podcast The Squeeze, wife Taylor Dome asked him which career event he'd like to repeat.
"Probably the 2009 VMAs when I presented Taylor with the prize," he said. "I had no idea the Kanye thing wasn't a joke."
Swift received the Best Female Video award at the 2009 award ceremony. While she was making her acceptance speech, West came on stage and took the microphone away from her.
"Yo, Taylor, I'm very thrilled for you, and I'm going to let you continue. However, Beyoncé has one of the finest music videos of all time! "One of the finest films ever," the Yeezy designer said.
"Yeah [we had just gone public with our relationship] and I presented the award to her, so I gave her the trophy [and] I took five steps back and was standing five feet behind her," the Twilight star said.
"In the middle of her thank-you speech, Kanye climbs up onto the stage," he said. It's scarcely audible to me. They are invisible to me. I'm just assuming that this was all a scripted farce, since why else would Kanye West be coming up on stage and interrupting Taylor Swift? It simply didn't make sense."
Lautner revealed that he ended up chuckling on stage to accompany the joke, but not until he saw Swift's look.
"He jumped off, she finished, and I was like, 'Oh. "No, it wasn't good," he said.
