Erica Lee, the producer of John Wick, has revealed details about prospective projects and expressed optimism about the franchise's future prospects.
Speaking with Screen Rant about 'John Wick 5,' the producer revealed that "the stars will have to align" for the fifth installment in the film franchise.
She described it as a 'wonderful concept' in the plot after Keanu Reeves' murderer was destroyed in the fourth installment, telling the outlet, "First and foremost, I'd love 'John Wick 5' and figuring out what that movie looks like, what the story is, and how we take the franchise to the next level."
"I think we set this bar so high in [John Wick: Chapter 4], and we left everything on the table." I propose that we burn down the home when we make the film.
As she envisioned the situation, the producer said, "So I believe to pull it all together, it has to be a wonderful concept and the stars have to align, and there's a lot of pressure to get that right. So it is what I'm most optimistic, enthusiastic, and concerned about."
Despite no production update on the fifth film, the franchise has launched spin-off projects such as the Prime Video program The Continental and Ballerina, which will premiere in June 2025.
