Princess Kate offered a moving tribute to Duchess Sophie after the two elegant royals enjoyed a tender moment at the Remembrance Sunday Service.
For the uninitiated, the Duchess of Edinburgh placed her hand on Catherine to comfort the Princess as she made her return to public life after finishing her chemotherapy.
Regarding Prince Edward's wife's act, royal expert Ingrid Seward told Hello!, "That gesture of Sophie putting her arm around Kate is something you wouldn't have seen a few years ago."
In reaction, royal novelist Robert Jobson wrote, "That moment said a lot." Kate is being looked after by the whole royal family, and she is surrounded by a protective bubble.
Furthermore, Ingrid stated that the future Queen honored Sophie by appointing her as her "older sister."
"They have a sisterly bond and Sophie is like the older sister Kate never had," she informed me.
While praising the "incredibly kind girls" the Princess of Wales and the Duchess, the royal expert stated that they both have a "caring side to them."
"Both are protective of their children. Sophie has a small family, so she understands what it's like to protect them while living in the royal society, Ingrid says.
Sophie was "there in the background, as part of a private support network," throughout Princess Kate's health crisis.
