Ryan Reynolds, the actor of Deadpool and Wolverine, stated that the original draft had an obscene joke that Disney opted not to include in the picture.
There was a scene where Deadpool, played by Ryan, meets Elektra, Blade, and Gambit in their hideaway in 'The Void' and inquires about the fourth member, Magneto.
Blade, who was known as Billy in the original script, informs the red-suited superhero that Magneto has died. The sentence reads: "What, we can't even afford one more X-Man?" Disney is very inexpensive. "I can hardly breathe with all this Mickey Mouse [expletive] in my throat."
While speaking with Collider, the Red Notice star said that negotiations had taken place with Disney over the destiny of the joke.
He clarified: "There was a note about this one line, and I'll say this, which is that I was asked to take the line out."
Reynolds stated that he was not even obliged to remove the line. He also believed it was difficult for him to cite someone in such a position while alluding to Mickey Mouse.
"I was not even required to remove the line. To paraphrase a Disney executive, 'I'm in for a penny, I'm in for a pound.
"And if you take that out, I would appreciate it. If you don't, I will still love and support you, this film, and all of the hard work that went into it," said the 48-year-old Canadian-American actor.
In addition to Ryan, Hugh Jackman featured in Deadpool and Wolverine.
