Denzel Washington, the action actor who broke the word of the planned Black Panther sequel a few days ago, has apologized to the producers for making the spontaneous revelation.
Last month, the Gladiator II actor talked up about his upcoming projects, and he unexpectedly confirmed the next installment of Ryan Coogler's franchise.
However, neither the production firm nor the filmmaker have spoken publicly about the new picture. Denzel announced it before it was officially verified by the producers.
As a result, the 69-year-old actor felt awful about making the inappropriate gesture and revealed that he phoned Ryan specifically to apologize.
In an interview with Variety, Washington stated, "Ryan is a genius." I contacted him and apologized for bringing up the movie, and there sat his lovely wife.
While complimenting the acclaimed filmmaker, the Man of Fire star added: "He's still Ryan, modest, and full of ideas. Whatever he writes, I will read."
Denzel, 69, announced in November that he wanted to do a specific picture before retiring. The films included Othello and King Lear.
The actor also previewed the third and fourth installments of his action-packed Equalizer trilogy.
