Queen Camilla's health issues appear to be increasing as the Palace is forced to make significant changes to arrangements for the critical State Visit.
King Charles' wife, who is said to be suffering from the consequences of a viral chest illness, will miss the ceremonial greeting of Qatar's Amir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and his wife, Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani.
Buckingham Palace said that the official schedule has been changed, and Camilla will miss the outdoor celebration on Horse Guards Parade on Tuesday, which will be attended by King Charles and Prince William.
She will also not be there for the carriage trip back to Buckingham Palace.
Camilla is still anticipated to participate in other aspects of the State Visit, such as lunch at the Palace upon their return and a viewing of an exhibition in the Picture Gallery.
The princess was afflicted with a chest ailment for many weeks, forcing her to withdraw from numerous public engagements, including major events on the royal calendar such as Remembrance Sunday Weekend and the princess Variety Performance in November.
Royal physicians advised the Queen to forego these festivities to avoid any more consequences from the virus.
She apparently acquired the virus on her tour to Australia and Samoa, leaving her with "significantly diminished reserves of energy." Doctors have advised the Queen to rest until she has completely healed.
