Hwang Dong-hyuk, who is excited for the debut of the second season of his successful TV series, has said that he has broken an unusual standard in Korea about dramas.
The Squid Game director said in his most recent interview that the third installment will be the final one.
However, Hyuk stated why he is ending the highly anticipated series.
The 53-year-old screenwriter stated that he has no plans to work on additional seasons following the first. However, due to the success, he shattered an uncommon view in Korea regarding TV series and produced another season.
While discussing the future of his renowned enterprise, he said that while writing the script for the first season, he had a rough concept for the other two sequels.
Finally, the Korean filmmaker stated, "The desire to put a closure to the story that I began to tell arose after we worked on season one."
"In terms of why did I decide to end the story with season three, I think that the story I wanted to tell came to a full closure at the end of season three."
