Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld believes Kevin Feige's time at Marvel is finished.
Following the release of Captain America: Brave New World, the Deadpool co-creator came to X (previously Twitter) to criticize Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, citing the film's 68% decrease in its second weekend—one of the worst dips in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
"Take Feige off the mound. "He's spent," Liefeld wrote, likening Marvel's present troubles to a pitcher who has lost his game.
He did not stop there.
"This is beyond a trend, it's become the norm," he wrote. "If these were athletics, Feige would be out. The Marvel brand is similar to the Dodgers, Lakers, Yankees, and Celtics, where championship-winning coaches are replaced a year later when the results are dismal.
Liefeld, never one to mince words, doubled down in yet another post, claiming, "8 movies have crashed in the last three years." Don't we want better movies? You attract the curious throng, then dive."
This is not the first time Liefeld has expressed his dissatisfaction with Marvel.
Earlier this year, he revealed on his Robservations podcast that he felt rejected at the Deadpool & Wolverine premiere in 2024, claiming that Feige ignored him on the red carpet.
He also stated that when posing for photos with the film's creative team, the images were later erased and were simply taken to "appease" him.

Whether Feige takes Liefeld's critique seriously remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: Marvel's current box office statistics are raising eyebrows, and Liefeld isn't hesitant to point it out.
