King Charles III, who is not slowing down in his battle against cancer, is set to provide a huge royal surprise during Prince Harry's journey to Canada for the Invictus Games.
The 76-year-old has surprised admirers with major news: diners can experience 18th-century royal living at King Charles' Scottish palace, Dumfries House, for £375 per person.
Prince Harry and William's father, who enjoys the room's pink-tinted rococo plasterwork inspired by the Roman ruins of Palmyra in Syria, has given followers a cause to commemorate their most memorable experiences.
The beautiful chamber is still the finest maintained in the castle, having been conserved for the country in 2007 by a group led by Charles as Prince of Wales.
The intimate candlelight dinners will be held on Saturdays 15 and 22 March, with just 16 seats available at each sitting.
Dumfries House advertises the parties as its "most exclusive to date" and will take place in the mansion's Pink Dining Room.
Upon arrival, guests will be treated to a drinks reception, which includes a traditional bagpiper greeting. A guided tour of the ancient home will precede the meal, which will include wine pairings by London-based Corney & Barrow, the first beverages firm to be granted a Royal Warrant by King Charles.
Evan Samson, who heads up the front-of-house staff at Dumfries House, shared this information: "Our 18th Century Dinner is our most exclusive event to date, and will be authentic to the 1700s, with traditional butler service - including the meal being served 'family-style' - and a menu researched and prepared by our world-class chefs that reflects the culinary fashions typical of country houses in that age."
As reported by Express UK, the menu includes authentic 18th-century meals such as poached salmon, fish soup, and manchet bread for appetizers.
