If Meghan Markle ever decides to return to Suits, the door is wide open.
At the Suits LA premiere in California on February 20, series creator Aaron Korsh discussed the Duchess of Sussex's appearance in the show's universe.
"Obviously, if Meghan wants to come back under any circumstances, she can come back," Korsh told People magazine, adding that she has a "open invitation."
However, he conceded that bringing Markle back as Rachel Zane, or even herself, would not fit into the show's setting.
"We have thought about whether it be Meghan or any of the other cast members coming on and playing themselves as an actor," he informed me. "I think for me that's a little … my brain blows up at the thought of that."
Suits LA, due to begin on February 23, will feature a fresh cast in the same world as the original court drama. The spinoff follows Suits' remarkable revival on Netflix years after Markle's departure in 2018.
Markle played Rachel Zane since season one, participating in 108 episodes before departing at the conclusion of season seven. Her final episode aired in April 2018, a few weeks before her wedding to Prince Harry.
