Even Hollywood's A-listers cannot avoid the real estate rollercoaster—or the occasional post-divorce quarrel. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, who divorced earlier this year, are now at odds about what to do with the Beverly Hills mega-mansion they formerly shared.
Let's just say this isn't exactly a love tale.
"Jennifer thinks they can get more money for the home, so she wants to keep the price as is," a source told Us Weekly.
"But the real estate market is not there and it's not selling." In classic J.Lo flair, she's asking for top pay. Meanwhile, Ben? He is eager to be done, dusted, and gone.
"Ben wants to get rid of it because their divorce is over and he wants to cut all ties and have it be done," a source told me.
"All he wants is to finish it and sell it. "He wants to lower the price."
The vast mansion, which measures a whopping 38,000 square feet, was initially marketed for $68 million in July 2024.
The former couple purchased it for $60 million barely a year ago, shortly after getting married in July 2022.
Initially, they attempted to keep things low-key and off-market, but this strategy failed.
"They are in a rush to sell it," the person claimed. "Ben really wants to finish the house. He was never satisfied there. Ben and Jen never felt at home in the 38,000-square-foot mansion. They seldom have the kids full-time, so this was a big deal for the two of them.
And today, that massive dream home feels like a very expensive reminder of what once was.
Lopez filed for divorce in August 2024, alleging irreconcilable differences, and it was formalized in February, effectively closing the chapter.
Lopez has apparently moved on, acquiring a new $18 million mansion near Los Angeles.
The mansion is still on the market, waiting for a buyer—and possibly for Ben and Jen to reach an agreement on a final price.
