Thousands of people have responded to the Royal Family's images showing the Duke of Kent attending an event despite his advanced age.
The late Queen Elizabeth II's first cousin congratulated the recipients of the King's Scout Award, Scouting's highest distinction for adventure and skill development.
A ceremony at Windsor Castle, attended by the king and Chief Scout Dwayne Fields, also commemorated the Duke of Kent's 50 years of service to the Scouts Association.
In the comments section of the Royal Family's Instagram post, supporters praised the 89-year-old for his commitment to royal duties.
