Prince Harry's recent maneuvers in his conflict with his father, King Charles, have "certainly not made things any easier."
According to royal analyst Jennie Bond, the Duke of Sussex's court struggle over his UK security arrangements has exacerbated to his already strained relationship with the Monarch.
According to The Mirror, the King is keeping a distance from his youngest son to avoid being embroiled in the scandal, which has Harry essentially "suing the King's own government."
"Harry must realise by now that he has put his father in an extraordinarily difficult position," Mr. Bond added. "And that makes life - or indeed any conversation at all with Harry - very difficult for Charles."
The father-son connection is already regarded as "distant," with Harry's calls and letters apparently going ignored.
"I wonder whether Harry realised at the start of this case just how hard it would make any communication with his father," she said.
The Duke of Sussex has long expressed worry about personal safety on travels to the UK, sparking the high-profile judicial case. However, as Bond pointed out, Harry's choice to elevate the issue "to the highest level" most certainly stymied any hope of reconciliation.
"Once the appeal judges have handed down their verdict, it will presumably be time… to reassess the situation," she told reporters. "Harry certainly hasn't made things any easier."
