Jeremy Renner, the legendary actor who survived a near-fatal snowplow accident in 2023, described the terrifying moment when he heard every bone in his body being crushed.
The 54-year-old actor was severely injured on New Year's Day 2023 when he was driven over by a snowplough while attempting to save his nephew Alex.
However, Jeremy is now reflecting on the five horrific seconds when the machine crushed him.
In an interview with The Times, the Tag actor said, "Skull, jaw, cheekbones, molars; fibula, tibia, lungs, eye sockets, cranium, pelvis, ulna, legs, arms, skin; crack, snap, crack, squeeze, crack." More sounds: a ringing in the ears, as if a pistol had been discharged next to my head.
A sting of blinding white in my eyes — I was blinded by a coruscating lightning, a lightning that indicates the break of my orbital bone, forcing my left eyeball to rapidly burst out of my skull," he explained.
"I heard every single bone snap.
Then, maybe five seconds later—count them, one, two, three, four, five—the machine passed. "My shattered body was finally liberated of this great weight. "As I blacked out, the snowcat continued its agonising march," the Marvel actor remembered.
Jeremy Renner revealed that his nephew had no idea what was going on, and that he had hoped for a "quick death" but was saved by a miracle.
