Katy Perry wants fans to hear her shout from space.
Just hours before her historic voyage into space on Monday, April 14, the pop diva took to Instagram to provide a behind-the-scenes peek inside the Blue Origin spaceship, which will carry the first all-female crew since Valentina Tereshkova's solo mission in 1963.
"I've dreamt of going to space for 15 years and tomorrow that dream becomes a reality…" Perry, forty, captioned the video.
Dressed in a blue space suit, the Fireworks singer took a tour of "the capsule that we have been training in for the last few days," pointing out her seat (No. 2) and call name, "Feather."
"I suppose I'll sing a little bit. "I've got to sing in space," she stated.
In the video, Perry refers to her crewmates as the 'taking up space crew.' That statement has had numerous meanings, but I believe this is the first time it has been used as a double entendre."
