Katy Perry, a music diva best renowned for her strong vocals, recently gave everyone goosebumps by singing What a Wonderful World during Blue Origin's latest space voyage.
The 40-year-old musician was not the only one who traveled to space. She was accompanied by Jeff Bezos' fiancée, Lauren Sanchez, TV personality Gayle King, activist Amanda Nguyen, former NASA scientist Aisha Bowe, and film producer Kerianne Flynn.
Katy and the rest of the crew members flew 62 miles above Earth on the trip, then safely landed after an 11-minute flight that seemed like a blink of an eye.
This trip was the first all-female spaceflight in over 60 years, and the rocket flew past a pink moon, making the momentous day even more memorable.
As the rocket successfully landed in West Texas, the Firework hitmaker kissed the earth and, with the other ladies, stepped out to a hero's welcome.
Lauren, Bezos' fiancée, was the first to come out. She couldn't help but smile and remark, "I'm so proud of this amazing crew."
"The Earth appeared to be quite calm. It was just silent. I don't believe you can explain it. It was quiet yet also quite vibrant. You look at that and say, "We're all in this together." That was all I could think of.
"I don't cry that often so I didn't expect to be this emotional."
Katy then sat together with writer Charissa Thompson to discuss her space journey.
