Meghan Markle has faced a new round of public embarrassment as the original As Ever brand appeared to criticize her newly rebranded lifestyle enterprise.
Earlier this year, Meghan sought to establish her company as As Ever, only to learn that the name had already been used by a New York-based apparel line since 2015.
Mark Kolski, the inventor of the original As Ever, responded to social media immediately after Meghan's statement, tweeting a pointed remark that read: "We will continue As Ever," referencing to'recent events around our namesake company.'
He emphasized that his company had 'no association' with Meghan's lifestyle brand, which is currently named as American Riviera Orchard.
Adding to the tension, Kolski recently introduced a $45 t-shirt branded the 'As Ever' jams Tee,' which was widely interpreted as a tongue-in-cheek swipe at Meghan's raspberry jam, the brand's debut product.
While Meghan pursues her lifestyle goals, the branding error continues to raise eyebrows--and provoke subtle criticism.
