Kelly Clarkson recently discussed important symptoms of both good and destructive relationships while chatting with guest Jay Shetty.
During an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the American Idol alum referenced Jay's comment, "The right person will reduce drama; the wrong person will increase trauma."
When Kelly questioned Jay for his opinion, the 37-year-old responded, "I just feel like everyone knows the right person will bring them peace and the wrong person will take it away."
On the contrary, Jay said, "I think we have confused inconsistency with excitement and stability with boredom."
"We believe that putting in effort makes people more desperate. "If someone shows up and turns up, it's almost like a weakness," stated the presenter of the On Purpose podcast.
Jay revealed that individuals frequently assumed that love "means chasing someone who doesn't want to stay rather than wanting someone who never wants to leave".
"We constantly feel like we are on this treadmill for love, because love feels like something we have to earn, rather than just receive," states a British writer.
Jay went on: "I think that's what's warped it for us where we kind of invite trauma and drama into our lives."
Kelly also revealed on the show that Jay is about to go on his first major live tour and asked what he is most forward to.
"I'm very happy to create a third location for attendees during the event. "We're hosting 15 surprise guests in 15 cities across North America and Canada," said the author and life coach.
He went on: "The connection people are going to have with everyone there is so awesome because everyone's like-minded."
