Houston, we have a problem: Kesha has just added gasoline to her ongoing battle with Katy Perry.
Following Perry's short Blue Origin flight for the first all-female mission on April 14, Wendy's sparked internet outrage by posting on X that they wished to "send her back."
Not long later, Kesha shared a smiling photo on X with a Wendy's cup, causing speculation that she was co-signing the dig.
While the move may appear arbitrary, the tension between the two vocalists is deeply ingrained.
Perry's latest album, 143, was her first collaboration in years with producer Dr. Luke, whom Kesha claimed of abuse in a 2014 lawsuit. Though both parties reached an agreement in 2023, the damage was public and highly personal.
Kesha and Perry were formerly pals, and both worked with Dr. Luke early in their careers. However, when Perry reunited with him for 143, Kesha responded with a scathing "lol" on X. A month later, she performed wearing a T-shirt with the same statement.
Kesha's timing has raised some questions, especially because celebrities such as Olivia Munn and Olivia Wilde have already spoken out against the space project.
