Meghan Markle appeared to court Prince William's fury with a 'disrespectful' decision, raising suspicions among royal admirers.
The Duchess of Sussex recently shared a personal letter handed to her by Yulia Svyrydenko, Ukraine's Minister of Economy, following Prince Harry's visit to the war-torn country.
The political official addressed the Montecito couple as 'Your Royal Highness' while praising the Sussexes' efforts to aid and raise awareness about the ravaged region.
According to The Daily Beast, a friend of the Prince of Wales stated that Meghan's daring decision is "testing" the future King's tolerance.
According to a source: "It's actually quite a clever way of testing the water, because there is deniability there, she can say, 'Well, I just wanted to publish this nice letter to raise awareness for Ukraine, and oops! they got my name wrong—but oh, actually, now I think of it, I never gave the title up anyway, and maybe I will start using it again.'"
Furthermore, a source added that the Duchess of Sussex's latest attempt to "cash royal title" went in the "wrong direction" when she violated the arrangement.
Buckingham Palace issued a statement at the time of Harry and Meghan's royal departure, stating, "The Sussexes will not use their HRH titles as they are no longer working members of the Royal Family."
In response to the shocking decision, royal pundit Kinsey Schofield stated that Meghan and Harry's usage of the 'HRH' title is "so disrespectful" to Queen Elizabeth II's memory.
She stated to Sky News Australia: "I have it on good authority that Prince William wants to strip them of their titles, and the Sussexes would like reassurance that he won't do that, knowing how much it would hurt their commercial opportunities."
