Sarah Ferguson committed to campaign for an important cause in an emotional statement issued following her excursion with Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
For those who are unfamiliar, the Duchess of York visited University College London Hospital with her kids to raise awareness of the #AndYoungPeople initiative.
Notably, the mother-daughter trio is the patron of the Teenage Cancer Trust, which works to improve cancer awareness among young people.
Following their hospital visit, Sarah shared wonderful images on her official Instagram account, explaining that as Honorary Patrons of @teenage_cancer, she and her girls are dedicated to "raising awareness of the unique challenges young people face when diagnosed with cancer."
Prince Andrew's wife, who is also fighting two forms of cancer, stated that she understands "what these incredible children are going through."
The Duchess of York added that she is certain that change will occur, as she has also "signed @teenage_cancer's open letter to Health Secretary @wesstreeting."
Sarah described their meeting with young cancer patients and their families as a profoundly emotional event, citing the afflicted individuals' courage and energy.
At the end of her statement, she stated, "These young voices matter — and together, we will continue to amplify them."
