Teddi Mellencamp has been "very open and vulnerable" with her children about her continuing stage 4 cancer treatment.
The 43-year-old reality star recently spoke with Extra about her "shrunk" tumors, which she claims have "disappeared" now that she is "on course" to recover.
The Real Housewives alum, who has three children with husband Edwin Arroyave, as well as a stepdaughter Isabella from a prior relationship, has spoken out about how much of her current cancer struggle she discusses with them.
"I've been very open and vulnerable with them on the days that I don't feel good and the days that I do, because I don't ever want them to think that I'm not 100 percent being there the way I used to be."
Mellencamp spoke about how supportive her children had been during her health battle.
"They've been my caregivers, and every night, my son will ask, 'Do you want your elixir?'" "My elixir is half Pedialyte and half sparkling water, and we're trying to get the perfect combination, and every night he says, 'Blue raspberry or…?'" she recounted.
"So, it's been really great to have them be helpers, and I'm so happy that I've been able to encourage them to share when they need help and when it's okay to be sad or happy."
