Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo's Wicked sequel is in the works.
Following the success of the 2024 musical, director Jon M. Chu announced the production of a second film.
The 45-year-old was recently named one of the 'Times 100 Most Influential People of 2025', where he discussed the upcoming film and the new rendition of the song For Good for the sequel.
During the conversation, Jon mentioned that he still watches Ariana and Cynthia's 2025 Oscar medley performance and is happy of it.
"I am still watching it." I put it on in my car on the way to work because I want to hear it. I've never felt that way during the Oscars. I felt very proud. It was really simple and lovely. "They're the best," said the Crazy Rich Asians.
When asked what fans should expect from the forthcoming version of the song.
He joked, "We'll see!" But, certainly, we can do it. Just wait till you see 'For Good'. Wait till you see [Grande and Erivo] doing it. "That will destroy you."
Wicked: For Good, produced by Universal Pictures, is scheduled to open in theaters on November 21.
