Blake Shelton has fully embraced his role as a stepdad.
Since marrying Gwen Stefani, Shelton has helped her boys Kingston, 18, and Zuma, 16, improve their musical skills, including having them play at his Oklahoma bar and restaurant, Ole Red.
"When they go up there, you'd think they'd been doing it for ten years. Shelton told People, "They're very comfortable and not rattled at all."
"They have three professional musicians in their lives and have grown up standing on the side of the stage watching this their entire life, so they know how to be when they get out there — but man, I wasn't that calm when I got onstage," Shelton said of Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo, who grew up watching their parents Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale play in stadiums.
Kingston and Zuma both enjoy music, but their tastes differ. Zuma like country music like Shelton.
"That specific location is better suitable for Zuma. "He's really into country music," Shelton said. "He's a fan of older country music and newer country music, which has been pretty crazy for us to see."
"I've never tried to push my music. I believe that throughout his life, whenever he drives in the truck with me, he can't help but hear whatever station I'm listening to," he explained.
