Ed Sheeran, the hitmaker behind Shape of You, is poised to begin a series of homecoming performances soon.
The 34-year-old stated in early May that he will play many gigs at Ipswich Town Football Club's home stadium, Portman Road, in July.
Sheeran attended school in Framlingham, but he also owns a small stake in Ipswich Town Football Club.
As a result, the hometown has decided to honor one of its'successful sons' with a unique homage, as this is an opportunity for the entire community to rejoice.
According to Ipswich Central Business Improvement District (BID) CEO Lee Walker, the entire town will be decked in the same hue of pink as seen on the Perfect vocalist's new album, 'Play'.
Lee made the following statement: "When we heard that global superstar, dedicated Ipswich Town fan and local lad Ed Sheeran was coming home to perform in Ipswich this summer, and bringing 90,000 fans with him, we knew we had to celebrate."
"As we 'Welcome Home Ed' it's a chance for the whole town to celebrate as the eyes of the world fall on the town."
Ed will perform live at his birthplace's football club on July 11, 12, and 13, according to the BBC.
