Gracie Abrams earned her first American Music Award at the 2025 AMAs, however she was unable to attend due to an ongoing tour.
The 25-year-old singer received the New Artist of the Year award on Monday, May 26, during an event in Las Vegas.
Nikki Glaser presented the award to the That's So True hitmaker, but she was unable to attend; Abrams instead shared a pre-recorded statement with the audience.
The Grammy winner also used Instagram to convey the message and dedicate the trophy to her followers.
Abrams stated that she was "so sad not to be in the same room as all of you tonight" before thanking the other nominees in the category, including Benson Boone, Chappell Roan, Shaboozey, Teddy Swims, and Tommy Richman, "whose music and careers I admire so much."
She went on to say, "This means so lot to me tonight because I know it's a fan-voted honor. This belongs to the network of folks I've been fortunate to learn from over the last few years of releasing music."
Abrams dedicated the prize to her followers, saying, "This belongs to you." Thank you very much for caring about music."
This comes after the Close To You singer wowed audiences around Europe, Asia, and Australia with her incredible performances on the ongoing The Secret of Us Tour.
