As King Charles presents a unified face for the royal family, analysts say Prince Harry's split will "reflect badly on him."
According to the latest New York Times article, royal experts believe that Harry's urgent "plea to reconcile with his father" may jeopardize King Charles' efforts to "model unity."
"There is an overhang in how we perceive Charles' rule. "It hasn't really started, and we're not sure how long it will last," Mr Owens told the site.
Meanwhile, ex-BBC royal journalist Peter Hunt points out that, while Charles' mission is to bring people together, he is still unable to do so inside his own family.
"When history comes to be written about the king, this will reflect badly on him," he said. "He represents an institution that promotes family, unity, and forgiveness. His responsibility is to bring people together, yet he can't even do so on his own doorstep."
It is important noting that this follows Prince Harry's bombshell BBC interview in which he openly said that his father, King Charles, "doesn't speak to" him anymore.
