Jackie Chan, a Hong Kong-based star, revealed a unique peek into his long-running career.
The 71-year-old stunt performer is presently promoting his latest film, Karate Kid: Legends.
In a recent interview, Chan said that he nearly gave up on his acting profession in its early stages.
In an interview with Extra, the Rush Hour actor said that it will be 64 years since he first entered the film industry.
He remarked, "I remember when I was a stuntman; at the time, action movies were not popular. We do not know what to do. "I try to give up."
Jackie claimed that after viewing the original Karate Kid from 1984, he felt motivated and altered his choice.
"When the 'Karate Kid' came, I went with some friends, bought a ticket, and went to watch it. And when I see it, I sense the energy and the good message, and I think, 'I should not give up. Life knocks me down, but I get back up.
"Then I return to training..." Rocky is another upcoming film. Then I saw 'Rocky, Eye of the Tiger.' Wow! "And suddenly full of energy," the actor and filmmaker stated.
Chan's next feature, backed by Sony Pictures, is set to be released worldwide on May 30th.
