Meghan Markle is apparently having difficulty integrating into the Montecito community, according to a seasoned journalist.
The Duchess of Sussex relocated to California with her husband, Prince Harry, after stepping down from royal responsibilities in 2020.
The pair moved into a luxurious £23.3 million property in the celebrity-rich enclave of Montecito, Santa Barbara.
Local writer Richard Mineards, on the other hand, said Meghan has 'never sought to fit it' with people around her. He stated that she is "practically invisible" to her neighbors and makes very occasional public appearances.
'She is there, of course, but she does not exhibit much of herself. Mineards told the Daily Mail that her connection with Montecito is... distant.
He went on to say that Montecito inhabitants value simple people, saying, 'She pays attention to every appearance, every phrase, every gesture.'
In comparison, Mineards observed that Prince Harry looks to be more accessible and personable.
'Harry is always personable and friendly, with that distinctive Windsor accent. He smiles, shakes hands, and readily exchanges a few words," he explained.
Though accompanied by his security team, Mineards feels Prince Harry appears ''more at peace here, even with his personal challenges.'
