Nicolas Cage recently reminisced on his 1990 interview with Terry Wogan.
For those who are unfamiliar, Nicolas Cage's very unorthodox entrance and appearance on a BBC talk show with Terry Wogan in 1990 sparked controversy.
In his most recent interview with The Guardian, Nicolas was asked to reflect on this legendary interview.
Nicolas was even questioned, "How was Terry in real life? Have you still have the leather jacket and snakeskin jacket from Wild at Heart?"
The famed actor said, "I remember Terry Wogan was a very nice man and I enjoyed the interview with him, although I thought I was both obnoxious and somewhat wild."
When asked about the movie he was marketing at the time, the 61-year-old actor responded, "I guess it's no secret that I was promoting a movie called Wild at Heart, so I was sort of play acting to that."
"I recall as a youngster being in a car and seeing a guy going down the street with a leather jacket and no shirt beneath. I thought, "Well, that's an interesting look." I'm not sure why that came back to me when I was on Terry's program, but I thought, "I'm going to recreate that look." It was really ludicrous and disrespectful. "I don't have that leather jacket anymore," he explained.
