An analyst lays out Prince Archie's future, calling it 'glumsville watching'.
Royal analyst Daniela Elser recently discussed the effect of Prince Archie's birthday picture, as well as the unintended implications.
Her full point of view has been expressed in an article for News.com.au.
The expert discussed Prince Archie's solitude, alienation from his royal pedigree, and even his 'glum' attitude on life after maturity.
Ms Elser argues that one should "step back and think about this week's Archie birthday photo versus the very first images of him that the world ever saw."
Photos showed "him with the late Queen and Prince Philip in an image captured in the very tweedy bosom of the royal family, Windsor Castle."
Because it suggests that "now, the only chance of Archie returning to the 1,000-year-old castle is if one day he is willing to fork out the 20 quid tourist ticket price and bear joining the ambling tide of gum-chewing tourists gawping at all the Van Dyks."
For the most part, "the new image of six-year-old Archie makes for some glumsville viewing."
Beyond that, "it's testament to the fact that somehow things irreparably and achingly fell apart for the Sussexes and the royal family in less time than it takes for a Dundee cake to reach its use-by date," she wrote before concluding.
