Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are allegedly unsurprised by Prince William's plans to deprive them of their royal titles.
The Duke and Duchess' reply to allegations that the Prince of Wales wants Harry and Meghan to quit using their "Royal Highness" titles has been disclosed, according to InTouch Weekly.
According to the insider, "Harry and Meghan have heard the grumblings and aren't surprised."
"They try to rise above all of the nasty remarks, but it hurts, especially Harry. But Meghan, who continues to use HRH after walking away from her royal obligations and relocating to California, isn't doing herself any favors. "It has further alienated her from the royal family and the people of England," they said.
It is worth noting that this comes as sources say that when William becomes King, he would abdicate the Duke and Duchess of Sussex' royal titles.
Notably, another insider told the site that Harry and Meghan will not be losing their royal titles "anytime soon," stating that "it would cause an uproar, which is the last thing the monarchy needs right now."
"Of course, King Charles has considered it as well, but he has far more pressing concerns. He has a lot on his plate with his recovery from cancer, and this isn't on his agenda," the person says.
According to an insider, removing Meghan Markle's title "wouldn't be as bad," but stripping King Charles' son Prince Harry's title "would be intense."
As a result, "there's no way it will happen under his watch," with the only possibility being when Prince William becomes King.
