Prince Harry's comments on King Charles during a BBC interview are likely to raise concerns among royal admirers about the monarch's health.
The Duke of Sussex spoke with the broadcaster on Friday after losing a legal challenge to Britain changing his security arrangements after stepping down from royal duties.
During his interview, Harry stated several times that he wants to reconcile with his father and other family members.
"Life is precious. I'm not sure how much longer my father has. "You know, he won't speak to me because of this security stuff," he told the station, hinting that his father may be involved in denying him the amount of security he demands.
Many onlookers may ask if his words regarding Charles' life expectancy during the monarch's cancer treatment indicate that he knows anything about his father's health that others do not.
Harry may have difficulties with the royal family, but given his standing and connections inside the family and the palace, the prospect of his being aware of anything frightening cannot be dismissed.
The monarch was temporarily hospitalized in March owing to what were described as adverse effects from his cancer treatment.
According to various sources, the palace did not notify the Duke of Sussex of his father's hospital stay, and he learnt about it from the media.
