Prince William is set to start his new duties next week.
On Wednesday, June 4, the Prince of Wales will pay his first official visit to Wattisham Flying Station as Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps, according to GB News.
King Charles formally handed over the duty to him in May 2024 during a ceremony at the Army Aviation Centre in Middle Wallop.
Now, William will spend the day learning about the regiment's activities, beginning with a thorough briefing on the AAC's mission and the 664 Squadron's previous foreign deployments.
During the tour, the future king will also hear about the Army's most recent aviation advancements, including the Apache AH-64E attack helicopters, and watch a real combat PT exercise demonstrating the squadron's physical and mental preparation. He will next join servicemen and their families for the "Archer's Breakfast," a weekly event hosted by 664 Squadron.
William will also take time to recognize specific accomplishments, bestowing a King's Commendation for Valuable Service and promoting Corporal to Sergeant.
The visit is his first since the half-term break, when he spent time with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
The young royals are set to return to school next week and join their parents during Trooping the Colour in June.
