Princess Eugenie is marking a significant milestone for her youngest son.

Eugenie celebrated Ernest Brooksbank's second birthday on Friday, May 30, with a poignant Instagram post, providing fans with a rare insight into their family life.

"Happy birthday, lovely Ernie. She tweeted, "2 today!" amid a carousel of personal images.

She said, "And what a wonderful two years it's been. Always smiling, laughing, offering hugs and hellos, and making others happy. "We love you, my golden boy!"

Sarah Ferguson, Beatrice's mother, loved the post.

The post included charming new photos of Ernest playing with his elder brother August, 4, and spending happy moments with their father, Jack Brooksbank, who was seen spinning Ernest in the air on a snowy family holiday.

The family presently resides in Ivy Cottage, which is located on the grounds of Kensington Palace, just a short distance from Prince William and Princess Kate's home.

When not in London, the Brooksbanks visit Portugal, where Jack works in marketing for Discovery Land Company.
