Queen Camilla has a particular role as she travels to Canada with King Charles

 

King Charles and Queen Camilla landed in Ottawa for their much anticipated royal visit of Canada just in time to make a strong statement about the monarchy.

The King is scheduled to address Parliament with the 'Speech from the Throne' to begin the two-day visit; in the meantime, Camilla will deliver an important message of her own as she supports her husband during this historic visit.

The royals are well-known for using their dress and accessories to convey subtle messages to the public about their attitude. Kate Middleton is well-known for utilizing this method, and Camilla is no stranger to it.

According to jewelry experts, the Queen is planning to make a significant statement with her item, which will pay homage to the British royal family's legacy in a meaningful way.

"We wouldn't be surprised if Queen Camilla pays tribute to Canada through her jewelry," expert James Harris told GB News.

"There are a number of iconic brooches in the late Queen Elizabeth II's collection that we may see being worn by Queen Camilla."

Harris stated that if Camilla choose anything from the late Queen's large collection, it may be interpreted as a "wonderful symbol of carrying on Queen Elizabeth's deep commitment and dedication to the Commonwealth, which was well documented in her lifetime."

Camilla's decision would also have significant diplomatic implications. The 77-year-old has taken on the unique job of supporting the monarchy by not just her adherence to royal responsibilities, but also with subtle gestures. She has been a major supporter of the King, notably throughout his cancer treatment, and she continues to do so on a weekly basis.

"Wearing a piece of jewellery as remembrance is a meaningful way to keep loved ones close and honour their memory," Harris told me.

He theorized that Camilla would choose the Diamond Maple-Leaf Brooch, which was produced by Asprey & Co. in the late 1930s and given to the Queen Mother by King George VI before to their royal tour to Canada in 1939.

Queen Elizabeth wore the garment as a princess during her first visit to Canada in 1951. Furthermore, Camilla herself wore the diamond during her first official visit in November 2009.

It remains to be seen how Camilla will respect Canada and the King during his first visit to the nation as monarch.
