Ray-Ban Meta Glasses Specifications
The Ray-Ban Meta Glasses have a 12-megapixel camera and an LED light housed within two circular holes on either side of the frame. The LED light also serves as a recording indication while video recording is active. The smart glasses' camera can take photographs at a resolution of 3,024 x 4,032 pixels and record 1080p videos for up to 60 seconds, which can then be shared via Meta apps like Facebook and Instagram. Alternatively, users may utilize the Meta View app to share them across several devices.
It uses the camera and a five-mic system to allow users to livestream in first person on Facebook and Instagram, displaying anything they are looking at while wearing the glasses in real time. They are powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon AR1 Gen1 Platform SoC and include 32GB of internal storage. According to Meta, the smart glasses have up to four hours of battery life on a single charge and an extra 32 hours with the charging case. They have an IPX4 rating.
AI Features
The Ray-Ban Meta Glasses rely significantly on AI, utilizing the company's own Meta AI helper. To toggle different hands-free tasks, users simply speak the simple "Hey Meta AI" voice prompt.
For example, users can inquire, "Hey Meta, what is this song?" The Ray-Ban Meta Glasses will use Shazam to identify the music. This function is believed to be useful in circumstances where a wonderful tune is playing, such as at a store or a café, since it allows users to remember the track or artist's name and avoid missing out. Meanwhile, it supports real-time spoken translation between English and Spanish, French, or Italian with a simple "Hey Meta, start live translation" command. The translated audio is played through the open-ear speakers, and you can also obtain a transcription of it.
Meta has also included a Live AI feature in its smart glasses, allowing it to watch the video feed in real time via the 12-megapixel camera. Users may activate the Meta AI without using the "Hey Meta" command, ask inquiries about their surroundings, and even pose follow-up questions. Another feature is the ability to send and receive direct messages, images, phone calls, and video calls using the app on your glasses. According to the business, you can just say, "Hey Meta, send a message to Lisa on Instagram" and the smart glasses will send a DM.
Users of Ray-Ban Meta Glasses may utilize apps such as Spotify, Amazon Music, and Apple Music to play music on their smart glasses. It uses the wearable's voice-to-search feature to play a song, playlist, album, station, or artist. You may also ask questions regarding the tunes you are listening to.
