Samsung is anticipated to debut the Galaxy Z Flip 7 with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in July of this year. The Galaxy Z Flip FE is also expected to be released this year as an inexpensive clamshell folding smartphone. Samsung has yet to acknowledge the existence of these foldables, but the South Korean tech company's expected processor selections for its future handsets have fuelled speculation in recent weeks. According to a fresh rumor, Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be powered by an Exynos processor. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE may not feature an Exynos CPU.
According to X user Jukanlosreve (@Jukanlosreve), the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be powered by Samsung's Exynos 2500 processor. This is a break from the company's past dependence on Qualcomm Snapdragon chips for its foldable portfolio. Previous leaks stated that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is still likely to include a Snapdragon CPU.

The same source recently revealed that the European models of the Galaxy S26 series will use the Exynos 2600 CPU. These rumors point to a larger effort by Samsung to increase the usage of its in-house Exynos CPUs across many device tiers, potentially lowering reliance on third-party vendors. This may allow the brand to provide more competitive prices in the foldable smartphone industry.
According to Jukanlosreve, the more cheap Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE will feature a different chipset. This confirms a recent report claiming that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE would have the same characteristics as last year's Galaxy Z Flip 6, which features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU.
If the current rumor is confirmed, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 might be the first Samsung foldable to have the company's own Exynos SoC. Last year's Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 were powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform for Galaxy.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is set to go official in July. It is expected to have a 3.6-inch external display and a 6.8-inch internal display. It might have 12GB of RAM and be available in 256GB or 512GB storage capacities. It is anticipated to include a dual back camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. It might have a 4,300mAh battery and support 25W wired charging.
