On Monday, Tecno revealed the launch date for its Spark 40 series. The flagship Tecno Spark 40 Pro+ will be equipped with MediaTek's latest Helio G200 CPU and a 1.5K resolution display. Although the firm has not released the names of the other models in the lineup, we may anticipate to see the vanilla Spark 40, Spark 40 Pro, and Spark 40 Pro 5G variants. They are expected to launch as the replacement to last year's Tecno Spark 30 series.
Through a press statement, Tecno confirmed that the Spark 40 series smartphones will be available in worldwide markets in July. The new Spark series smartphones will have a compact body with Tecno's AI capabilities.
Tecno Spark 40 Pro+ Chipset Revealed
The Tecno Spark 40 Pro+ will be the premium model in the new lineup, and it will be the first to use MediaTek's newest Helio G200 processor. The new 4G chipset, developed on TSMC's superior 6nm technology, has an octa-core CPU design with 2x Cortex-A76 cores at 2.2GHz and 6x Cortex-A55 cores capped at 2.0GHz. The chipset is said to deliver a performance improvement of more than 10% over its predecessor, the MediaTek Helio G100.
The MediaTek Helio G200 is said to have scored 470,000 in AnTuTu. It is believed to allow for speedier app launches, more responsive interactions, and greater multitasking capabilities. The chipset will be coupled with an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The MediaTek Helio G200 features DCSAR (Dynamic Communication Smart Adaptive Response), which improves network efficiency.
The Tecno Spark 40 Pro+ is expected to come with a 1.5K resolution display.
Aside from the Tecno Spark 40 Pro+, the new Spark series is expected to feature the Spark 40, Spark 40 Pro, and Spark 40 Pro 5G versions. They will include advancements over last year's Tecno Spark 30 series.
